New technology from the University of Michigan could help baseball coaches and batters pinpoint weak spots in a swing and measure progress towards improvement. The tool, says developer Noel Perkins, "makes practice perfect." Perkins developed it several years ago for fly fishing when he was trying (unsuccessfully) to perfect his cast. It's made of mini versions of some of the sensors used in spacecraft navigation. Learn the backstory at LabLog: http://tinyurl.com/348zptk

Perkins and Ph.D. students Ryan McGinnis and Stephen Cain demonstrate in this video.
