Now that Mango the parrotlet is a world (okay, 4 state) traveler, he is no longer the shy little green bird hiding behind his night night blanket. Here he is, singing away at his favorite song, 'birdie song." He will even tell you to sing with him when he hollers "sing the birdie, sing the birdieeeeee!" Then he breaks into the actual birdie song...."lets all sing like the birdies sing....tweet tweet tweet tweet tweeeeeet!" Of course he throws in about 10 other tweets, in his best operatic voice, just for good measure. Come along and sing with Mango!

  • sooo cute lol awww it would be awesome to have a parrotlet lol how much are they?? mango is soooo adorableee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @AleMonsterUnleashed

Prices vary, but I personally would never use price as a factor. A hand-fed, well socialized and loved baby is priceless. By the time they are ready to go to their forever home, they are usually between 8-14 weeks, refusing formula for well over a week, able to do step up most of the time, and very social. A good place to join is ParrotletExpress. or ParrotletPlace through yahoo groups. Lots of very responsible breeders and great info.

  • what is Mango eating? I am just curious, I have a parrotlet and like to change his food up. mine is real vocal too. :)

  • @cassapollard

He was eating a strawberry and a kiwi slice as his fruit that day.

  • Hi, such a sweet bird, Where did you get him? I am getting one, and I have been looking at tons of breeders.

  • @RoyalBlue4486

Mango was purchased from a breeder who not only hand feeds (no gavage feeding) but also hand socializes. He came nice and sweet, although it is not uncommon for a parrotlet or any bird to go through an adjustment period, even a bitey time. They are all individuals.

  • @crowamonghens yes, it does sound exactly like that. clever little things.
