Why are birds always called either Kiwi or Mango?

@crowamonghens yes, it does sound exactly like that. clever little things.

Prices vary, but I personally would never use price as a factor. A hand-fed, well socialized and loved baby is priceless. By the time they are ready to go to their forever home, they are usually between 8-14 weeks, refusing formula for well over a week, able to do step up most of the time, and very social. A good place to join is ParrotletExpress. or ParrotletPlace through yahoo groups. Lots of very responsible breeders and great info.

He was eating a strawberry and a kiwi slice as his fruit that day.

Hi, such a sweet bird, Where did you get him? I am getting one, and I have been looking at tons of breeders.

@RoyalBlue4486
Mango was purchased from a breeder who not only hand feeds (no gavage feeding) but also hand socializes. He came nice and sweet, although it is not uncommon for a parrotlet or any bird to go through an adjustment period, even a bitey time. They are all individuals.
