BOYCOTT QUARANTINE

When things piss you off, you have to speak out, and this is what my video is about. Quarantine is an American remake of a Spanish film released no more than roughly 6 months before, and it is totally unnecessary. There are no changes, nothing improved, it is simply made for money, and to change the language. It's a sickening act by Hollywood to cash in on successful lower budget films. Don't let them get away with it.

I respect your opinon on this vid. Remakes overshadow the original film and sometimes are unnecessary. but other times they are because it brings attention to audiences who would have otherwise ignored the original film altogether.

Bringing attention to an original would be fine, were this remake not an absolute, scene for scene copy. Anyone now seeing the original will have nothing unexpected, and thus, the original is ruined. And trust me, a boycott video is far more worthwhile than yet another PS3 fanboy rant!

Obviously some people will prefer a film with no subtlety. Some preferred the remake of the ring for it's "in-your-face" scares over the slow, meandering horror of the original. As said in the video, this is pretty much the American-Japanese filmic divide. However my video is not a waste of time, as it has opened people's eyes to the issue. Your comments on the other hand? Now THEY are pointless. You liked quarantine... you want applause?

I'm downloading rec to check it out. But how can you 'review' a move (quarantine) before it is even screened for critics? YOu've not even seen the 'american remake.' and FYI - I would never have even heard of rec if not for this american remake...since I live in the americas and not spain.

Watching the trailer on youtube practically shows you the entire film. It even shows you the final scene in the film, the surprise culmination of the entire story. Not just that though, but each scene shown in the trailer is a direct, word for word, scene for scene rip off of the original, only where the original was partly improvised, the remake is 100% copy. I have no reason to watch Quarantine, the trailer has quite simply proven it all.
