Flour/Water make up effect for Film Riot Contest (warning: kinda gory effect)

The show, Film Riot ( www.revision3.com/filmriot ) asked its viewers to post a video of a tutorial on how to use flour and water for a special effect. My friends and I decided to create a short video last night and post it to the contest. We had no ideas or plan, but it sounded like fun so we did it. The video demonstrates how to create a gross bloody/bubbly disease type effect on a person's arm. After the tutorial, we created a short film to demonstrate the effect.

Notes: this video was started late Friday night and finished on Saturday afternoon. I know there can be some improvements in color and lighting, but time ran out. I learned a lot from making this video and thats what's important...oh yeah, we had a lot of fun creating it too.

Okay, so im having some trouble. I mixed the cornstarch and the water, but im getting a substance that looks like milk. And it's impossible to spread. Any suggestions/help?
