Gamelan Jegog - Jaran Dauh (first of two files)

Gamelan Sekar Jaya performing Jaran Dauh, on a Gamelan Jegog. The Gamelan Jegog is an ensemble of traditional instruments from the island of Bali in Indonesia. All the instruments have keys made from bamboo, suspended on wooden frames. The largest instrument has bamboo key that are over 3 meters long. This is the only perfroming jegog group in North America. Only a handful of these ensembles can be found outside of Bali.
