My Fabric Painting Tutorial
Materials:
-Normal Acrylic Paint ($2)
-Crafters Fabric Paint ($1)
-Good Acrylic Brush ($4)
-Cardboard
-Paper towel

Mix:
1 part paint - 1 part medium

If you can't find the fabric medium I used in the Video GOLDEN Products does sell a medium mix similar to what i a using ($12). But Please feel free use whatever you can get. Screen Printing Ink will work as long as it is for Fabric and this can be bought at a store called OPUS (around $4 I think)

This was just something very basic to show you guys. Later one when i decided to paint clothing again I will show how i go about it and such. So please look forward to this in the near future.

  • Using your method, when the paint dries does it become stiff, or is it soft and pliable? I want to use this on shirts but I know fabric painting can sometimes make the fabric hard. The Golden Fabric Medium solves this, but I'm looking for something cheaper.

  • @junevitalis

if you just use straight acrylic paint it will dry stiff and will crack. but cause im kinda cheap as well i do mix in water. about 1:2 and that tends to solve my problem. but by doing the watered down mixture you tend to get a uneven coat. or you can hunt down some cheap fabric medium like i did the the video. it's a dollar store find.

  • First of all your cute, Second do you know if these kind of paints would work on a Drysuit the one used for diving and surfing?

  • @qatarguy85

i don't think it would work all to well cause the drysuit is ment to repel any water on it and im sure the company's who produce it use a special decal that will stay on. but if you want to try I say go for it cause there's nothing stopping you.

  • CAN U GIVE ME KINDS OF PAINTS AND BRAND NAMES OF PRODUCTS YOU USED AND HAS GOTTEN YOU SATISFYING RESULTS... I WANNA WORK ESPECIALLY ON JEAN JACKETS (GRAFFITI STYLE)

  • @FCKEELS17

Either Fabric Paint, or acrylic with a fabric medium. and the cheaper the paint the lower the pigment.
