Here we have a product called POR-15 that is used to remove and prevent rust. Takes minutes to apply. Goes on like a paint, can be sanded, primed, and painted. Can be brushed or sprayed on. Dries hard as a rock and lasts a lifetime. The Pros admit to using this product. Please subscribe and thanks for watching!

  • Hey, i got the original exhaust to go on my bike but its rusty, if i grinded the rust off would it be okay to put it on my dirt bike?

  • @EMZOx1996 Nah, get some of the high temp duplicolor stuff.

  • Very helpful video and comments. Is there prep work for painting over the POR15 like any regular job. Sounds like its recommended to paint over it. Im thinking about painting g my project truck in this stuff but don't want it all black

  • @jadams64 Yeah, you'll want to rough it up before paint.

  • I used it on a 66 VW tank. I did all three steps, using marine clean, metal ready and tank sealer. WIth in 2 weeks it all flaked, lifted and big flakes started floating inside the tank. It clogged filters, lines and carb. Ended up buying a new tank. Use at your own risk. Very happy with POR15 on the chassis, but not happy with the tank sealer...

  • @flylowhitharddad Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking about using it on a motorcycle project I have coming up.

  • Thank you, I'm excited to try this stuff out

  • @jadams64 Wire cup brush or whip works well, you can buy a 3.5 or 4" electric grinder and quickly prep the metal.

  • @jackhammer8981 Ia agree, it does take some time. I really love the finish so it's worth it depending on the project.

  • I just did the whole floorpan of my chevelle, and i will say it turned out sweet. Very nice and shiny black coating, looks factory. The only thing i dont like about it is the amount of work to properly prep for it. Its a very time consuming process to clean, rinse, wait till dry then metal prep rinse wait till dry, then paint.
