Michael Moore speaks out on the auto industry bailout. He criticizes GM, Chrysler and Ford, despite his Michigan roots and his family ties to GM. He does think they need help, but cites that they must radically change their management style and focus, as Roosevelt demanded of them during WWII.

  • Management? The hideous fool doesn't even mention unions, which broke (and continue to break) the backs of these auto companies.

  • U.S. Auto makers have been arrogant from long ago. Auto makers from Asia & Europe made products geared specifically for the foreign markets they sold cars in. American makers, except for Ford, until now never made cars this way. They just thought cars for Americans would be the Universal standard for the rest of the world. No wonder buyers all over the world treat US cars as shit & buy Euro & Asian cars instead. This trend is now the same in the States. They dug their own graves with arrogance.

  • There have been bad men in history, all liberals: Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.

But Michael Moore is an amateur bad man.. a liberal.. has not killed anyone.. just obnoxious.

  • FORD FTW chevy n gm a fkn joke always were

  • SO!!!!??????

Government bureaucrats and politicians should run US industry?

Why didn't that hypocrite moved to USSR long time ago?

  • funny spring,I mean w/ all do respect, the comment i'm responding to,glad ya entertained, although I didn't realize it was a 3-week comment...."lesser quality GM Products sellin'like..when foreign auto makers yada...... let me ask you to give some comparo's all that knows "what we want in cars"

  • You are good comic relief. You honestly think that pro free market is being nannied? You think my pro free market philosophy is a big brother sales pitch? Do you know anything about free markets, and why us real conservatives value them?

Sounds like you're another big govt. type. Good luck, hope this helped you.

  • you really should use a little more of that little brain b-4 commenting spring.... sounds to me as if YOU prefer to be Nanny'd along w/ bigger Brother-Govt _-_

  • if you knew anything about socialism, you would understand here, that Michael Moore is speaking against the automaker's bailout. The bailouts are the socialism, and Michael Moore is against it. You seem to favor socialism, because you don't agree that he should be against the bailout. The republican bailout socialists are probably who you vote for. You voted for socialism.

  • You seriously think the lesser quality GM products are selling like hotcakes, when foreign auto makers make such better cars.

You need to be honest with yourself. Auto makers need to learn how to make what the consumer wants, that's the way a free market works, and the corporations don't believe in a free market, that's the problem. They believe in buying government influence.

  • You don't need to be a genius to know they are at fault thanks to their greedy demands and childish behavior.

The UAW strike on everything. If their dental plans does not cover 1 tooth, they go to strike, if GM does not pay them outrageous salaries plus paid vacations, they go to strike. I say fire them all, get fully-automation plants or ship the manufacturing process to slave condition plants overseas.

Consumers are the number one priority NOT THE UAW.

  • What a dumbass!!!
