How to remove Copyright Strikes from your YouTube account!

Comprehensive tutorial explaining what exactly a copyright strike is, the circumstances and consequences this process can bring you, and the steps to removing a copyright strike.




Here are the steps...
1. Click on your YouTube username at the top of the screen, then click on the "Account" tab.
2. Scroll down to "Manage Account", and then click on the Copyright tab.
3. Click on the "Help Center" hyperlink.
4. Towards the bottom, under the title "How do I file a DCMA counter-notification", click Submissions.
5. Click the "Here" hyperlink that will link you to the submission form.
6. On the point-submission form, click on the points...
a) Ok, I have read the Copyright Tips. What's next?
b) Yes.
c) No.
7. This will allow you to click a new link at the bottom, click "Proceed to counter-notification form.
8. Fill out the form, keep a brief one-two sentence explanation in the appropriate parts.

On September 16th 2010 I was given a copyright strike from Activision, and on December 15th, 2010 I got it removed. The account you see with the copyright strikes on this video is my old account.
