    That's my favorite thing about this band. Some bands are really good at creating interesting harmony. Check out "The Handshake" by MGMT. The harmony gets really cool about 1:15 into it.

    This is an absolutely wonderful song, and yeah, they won't top it, but not for any reason having to do with their ability or inability to craft music better than this. They won't top it because they will never do the same thing again. Every one of their albums is different. They won't top it because they'll take some new genre and completely put it on its head for their next album. They won't top it because they'd never try to. They'd just get you with something unexpected.

    so you're saying that this band's decision and endeavor to create music unlike any you've heard before has caused you to have the most significant reaction to any "'music' [you]'ve heard lately"? why isn't that creativity and innovation, if the music/art makes you feel something so strongly? still doesn't mean you need to enjoy it, but maybe it is something to appreciate
