Game Maker Tutorial #2

Horizontal Movement blocks and pushing crates.

In this example I show you how to add to the previous examples code, in order to add horizontal blocks which carry the player, and reverse direction if collided with the solid and player. And show you how to make pushable crates which move when ONLY being pushed. I MUST APOLOGISE! I MAKE A FEW ERRORS, WHICH IS WHY THE SCREEN FLICKERS, IT WAS ME FIXING THE BUGS. But it turns out to work perfectly in the end.

My god, this must have taken a little time to make (in the sense of actually learning how to do this).

I would like to know how you managed to actually learn how to do or of this? Was it just hours upon hours of practice or did you learn other types of coding before doing this?

Great tutorial though, I think I'm going to follow all of these to see if I can actually learn something :P

Thanks Dante, well, I have been using GM little over a year, but have been using GML for one year on the 28th on December. I never knew other programming languages, I know more now though.
