  • I am almost certainly going to spring for one of these. I currently own an HP piece of crap convertible tablet with negligible battery life, abysmal viewing angles, and propensity to break if you merely LOOK at it wrong. I never should have switched from Lenovo.

I own an iPad, and it's GREAT- but the stylus is what lures me. I love inking on my computers, and I just can't see Apple EVER getting behind that experience properly. Only real competition for me is Lenovo's windows tablet in fall

  • @ForPromethious Thanks for the nice words--we dig the stylus too. Choice of input types is what it's all about. No official date yet on our Windows 7 Tablet (IdeaPad P1) but ought to be sometime in October -- stay tuned here and on our Facebook page, OK? Regards...

  • Looks awesome...I love the pen functionality! About time my favorite company came out with a thinkpad tablet! Looks like I might have to own Lenovo/IBM product #6 when money allows!

  • @gventure Product #6, Gventure? What are the other 5? Glad you like what you see of our tablet...

  • @LenovoVision Wont this affect sales of the x220t? Do you have plans to discontinue convertable tablets?

  • Cool review Preston, precise and concise, a brief run down of the specs on the screen probably would help also, thanks

  • I have mine, using at a global conference this week to take notes, check e-mail, surf the web, build my con schedule, etc... When people found out I "didn't" have an iPad, everyone wanted to see/hold it. Best purchase in years, I'll start leaving my Windows 7 Thinkpad tablet at home when I travel.

  • can the USB port be connected to a USB 3G dongle and get wireless 3G?

  • Excellent review!

  • you said it comes with an accurate pressure sensitive pen in the video but the description says optional? so does or doesn't it comes with the pen?

    cheers

  • i sure hope so...

  • Looks like a great tablet! One question though, what kind of sensitivity does the pen let you use. For instance on the HTC Flyer you can't write particularly small with accuracy. How is that on the ThinkPad Tablet?

  • @ffsource It supports 11

  • @nanomyou5 I'm sure there will be companies that provide a matte Anti-Glare screen protectors for this tablet
