the donkeys are a real band and they made one of their songs "excelsor lady" from their album "living on the other side" different for "Dharma lady."

Wow, I didn't believe you, and then I checked it out. That's crazy. I wonder what it means...

its either that, or i think i saw somewhere that it could be horrice or gerald DeGroot.

I just watched the newest lost podcast, at the end it said 'Be sure to check out itunes after you hear Geronimo Jackson in an upcoming episode. In addition to the version of the song you may find one or two other treats while you are there' , im guessing the song will be played on episode 09 'Namaste'. So...yeah...check itunes after episode 09 is shown. :)

They're fictional, or at least a figment of the imagination of the producers. The only references about them that can be found anywhere on the net are those that refer to them in Lost. I even looked at allmusic, and there's nothing there about them, and they have really obscure bands there too.
Geronimo Jackson was NOT a real band. The song "Dharma Lady" was done by a band called "The Donkeys". check Lostpedia
