This is a TRUE story. I have all the medical records to prove it. The hotel has a report.
If the Wyndham Hotel folks want to try and come after me for warning you all...let them take me to court and present my evidence and see how long a judge puts up with them trying to bully a person they allowed to get injured!
It turned out the hotel KNEW there was a plumbing problem in the room they gave me. Their own maintenance man told me himself when he came to the room right after I got burned. They should have never put anyone in that room. The reason I did not go to the hospital was two fold.
1) With an allergy to pain pills I knew there was nothing the hospital could do at that moment. I knew my private parts were harmed and my hip and shoulder felt odd. The shoulder injury was the only thing that did not go away and got worse each week after I returned home. Within 6 weeks I was in the hospital with a frozen shoulder. It took 1 year and 2 months to prove the injury or I would have sued them.
2) I was only there for a day and a half for business and did not want to spend the majority of that time in a hospital that would say...all we can do is put some creams on the scalding. So, I did something I rarely do...I drank booze for the next day and a half to numb out the pain.
The lady who sued over hot coffee was just wrong. But I DID have NO expectation of toilet water boiling. No one would have, should have or could have.
yup!
