HeNe-Laser als Stickstofflaser (HeNe-Laser as Nitrogen Laser) 2

Fertiger Aufbau des Stickstofflasers:
-Kondensator: 470pF (K15-4)
-Funkenstrecke: 8mm
-Druck: max. 40mBar (einsatz der Lasertätigkeit)
-Laserröhre: HeNe-Laser (LGR7641)

Ich habe auch versucht die Leistung mit doppelter Kapazität und einem peaking Kondensator zu steigern, dies brachte jedoch nur eine geringfügige steigerung der Ausgangsleistung.


Final set up of the Nitrogen Laser:
-Capacitor: 470pF (K15-4)
-Spark gap: 8mm
-Pressure: max. 40mBar (begin of Lasing)
-Laser Tube: HeNe-Laser (LGR7641)

I also tried it with double the capacitance and a peaking Capacitor but with no significant increase of the Laser output.

Did you swap the dielectric mirrors for suitable 337nm ones?

The original mirrors are still in place. Maybe I will ad an aluminium HR later, but for the moment im happy that it works with this set up. :)

@Zypo86 my approach was to use an Al mirror and a microscope slide as windows. Mounting them onto thin-walled brass tubes and prealigning them before glueing allows you to fine-tune the alignment of the sealed tube by carefully denting the brass hull. The alignment is very stable and the system remains sealed. After proper prealignment the remaining tilt is within some tens of mrads. Please let me know if you give this method a try!
