completly agree with you, its about finding you own sound not imatating, I heard that a young Jimi Hendrix was laughed of the stage when he tried to play B.B King licks.

Insperational! Jeez.., Thank You. More plz, with a little more voice volume.., wow, good day to be alive, again.
Thanks Isaac - I just relistened to this several years old version shortly after I'd first "mastered" the song - much appreciated

I miss the emotion of Willie McTell as can be heard on the original, recorded Oct.17/1928.

I absolutely love Willie McTell's original version - I wasn't actually trying to render Willie here - what if all musicians were only to render Willie when thgey sang his songs? It can be a misguided notion that when you sing a soong you have to render the originator. He sang it the way he felt it - and NO ONE feels it like Willie! But I sang without compromise how I felt it too - hopefully that Willie'd like to hear from another.

Absolutely! As Houndog Taylor put it: When I'm gone, people will say - 'he couldn't play sh-- but he sure made it sound good'" - So you put me up there with Houndog!! - I'm yet unworthy but the fires are stoked!
