The title says it all... Instructions: 1. Open iTunes. 2. Select the song you want to use for your ringtone. 3. Listen to the song and select a part (getting the start time and stop time of the part) of that song to be your ringtone. 4. Once you have the start and stop time of the part, right click on the song and click get info. 5. When the "Get Info" menu has opened, click options then go down until you see start time and stop time. 6. Enter the start time and stop time of the part, then hit "OK" at the bottom of that menu. 7. Listen to the song to make sure you like it (you can always change it later, but you may have to restart the whole process.) 8. When you are sure you like the part you've selected right click on it then click on "Create AAC Version" 9. When it is done converting the file to AAC you should hear some sort of jingle. Then right click again on the file. 10. Hit "Show in Windows Explorer" then right click on the file has been converted to AAC. Make sure its that file or the process will not work. 11. When you've right clicked on the AAC file, click rename. At the end of that file name it should say ".m4a" change the "a" in ".m4a" to an r to make it ".m4r" 12. Hit enter. Then it should ask you if you want to change it. Click YES. 13. The file is now able to be a ringtone. Click on ringtones in iTunes. Then go back to Windows Explorer and drag that ".m4r" file you just created to the ringtones menu in iTunes. 14. Your ringtone should be in the ringtones section in your library. Now click on your iPhone then right above your iPhone in the middle there should be a tab named "Ringtones" click on that. 15. Now make sure "Sync Ringtones" and "All" are selected. Then hit sync down at the bottom of the menu. 16. Rub your cool new ringtone in your friends faces! Enjoy!
