Brandon Arnovick of the Rondo Brothers talks about the new Digidesign guitar plug-in Eleven.

Get ready for a brand new guitar playing experience. Digidesign® Eleven™ is an extraordinary, upcoming, virtual guitar amp plug-in (TDM / RTAS® / AudioSuite™) that emulates ultra-realistic amp tones based on the world's most coveted vintage and modern amplifiers, speaker cabinets, and microphones.

Created using an innovative tone-cloning technique, Eleven lets you experience realistic tones that meticulously emulate the sound of classic Fender®, VOX®, Marshall®, Mesa/Boogie®, and Soldano amps* right in your Pro Tools®, Avid®, or VENUE rig. Whether you want to recreate your favorite guitar tones using the included presets or dial-up your own signature sound, Eleven delivers an incredibly realistic guitar playing experience in both sound quality and feel.

  • "if you're looking for a tone and you have a tone in your head, you can definately get it."

Okay, how about modern "smooth" distortion?

Amplitube, Guitar Rig, Revalver MKIII... None of these can create that modern smooth distortion without loading external cab impulses and tinkering for hours...

Vintage sounds and 80's metal have been done already. If Digidesign wants an edge it really needs to step it up and crank some smooth high-gain modern distortion tones.

  • ELeven is seriously sickk.. quality of the amp sounds and tweakability are many steps above amplitube etc. Get the full version! Just like recording with a real cab, you usually have to tinker about with the setup a little to get the sound you want.. I dont understand your complaint. Arguably they could add some more metal tones but you can get a lot of those with the Mesa Boogie head thats in Eleven.

  • in pro tools 8 which i just got it gives you like a demo of it

  • not included

  • is this included in the latest pro tools or do you have to get it seperatley ?? i use lots of vst's and this one looks great especialy the messa boogie so im just wondering
