  • I do consider it, quite often.

I went up the hill and talked the the church about using their organ. :)

  • What are your priorities .. to compose/record or to perform?

For composing and recording, try using a usb-midi-keyboard hooked to your computer. Using programs like Hauptwerk (not free but trial) or Myorgan (free - google it). Also try soundfont or other sampler programs with many organ sounds available.

Midi-computer keyboards can be used for live performances. Midi bass pedals and additional manuals can be added seperately as funds become available.

    Good luck.

  • Thank you for your inspiring advice. :)

  • you are so beautiful and so talented im sure good things will happen for you , patience is key it's great that you at least know the direction you want to head in .. and an equipment upgrade is definately a reasonable goal ..

  • Cool, let us know how things work out. You can do this!

  • Solvitur Ambulando. You should consider becoming a real world organist as a profession. You have the demeanor for it .. and someone has to play those things.

  • According to the agolouisville website, Louisville has 79 pipe organs.

According to the organ society website, Louisville has 264 instruments.

Most are church organs, but you may find some that belong to old theaters, department stores, large hotels, colleges, clubs, sport places and privately owned. Ask around, e-mail the guild people, they exist to help people like you.

  • Additionally if you're looking for a real world organ, find the closest churches in your area with suitable instruments and ASK. Tell them your needs and intentions, ask the church organist or church leader. Maybe you can arrange something.
