You're speaking of using the energy from the wind resistance of the car moving through the wind to power the car's movement?

Physically if you think about what you're proposing, it would be impossible to work. I think it's a good idea for a system that could supplement the work of a more traditional engine if designed correctly, but you're asking the impossible.

That 'wind'... barring driving through a hurricane, is created by drag on the car. The air is not actually moving necessarily... your car is moving against the wind (relativity).

So... your idea is powering the car to 200mph, superheat... whatever... with the drag it's creating by moving forward? HAHAahahAHAegeagsaaaaaaaaaaah.

oh man, first of all fla isn't warm because of semi exhuast...its called the sun. secondly the physics of turbines, fluid dynamics and a million other things dictate that anything remotely close to your idea is impossible. its good to be thinking and comming up with ideas but this is for lack of a better word stupid, and you are for lack of a better word a jackass. please finish your GED before recording anymore thoughts.

I am fairly well versed in these systems and as you've outlined it, I don't really see anything actually practical (or even possible - what you've stated breaks several physical laws). If you'd like, I could go into more detail about why this would not work.

You'd have better luck building a perpetual motion machine. Crazy idea, indeed.

So this turbine is running from air through the grill while the car is in motion? So its an electric car now? How did it get up to speed? The turbine would never have anywhere near enough power to be of any use hooked up directly to transmission.

Why would it get hot sucking in air at relatively low speeds, ie below 80mph? This isn't a gas turbine... There are plenty of ways to utilize heat energy but this wouldn't even be one of them.

So we are supposed to chuck our IC engine? So how does the car get up to speed to power the wind turbines in the front of the car?

So are you suggesting an electric car that has wind turbine generators in the grill to charge the battery? Conservation of energy... you could NEVER EVER earn much of that energy lost to air resistance, rolling resistance, generator inefficiencies, etc.

yea sure superheating air will "cleanse it" but turbines are inefficient with less dense, warm air... and the turbine ur suggesting is a ram air turbine wich needs high airspeed and u never really thought about... how does the car overcome friction/wind resistance/get up to speed?

y not put the turbine wire it 2 the wheels so the wheels will charge the batteries and the car will run from no fuel. no fuel more miles it works i seen it just like the light from a bike i had years ago the wheels r the turbine
