@veenakelly I have a book architectural masterpieces and The Traymore is in it. The drawings are amazing and I plan on framing them. Truly a masterpiece
A Behemoth on the beach if there ever was one. If it had been painted green, it could have been the Emerald City. In my youth I used to rent a bicycle at The Traymore each morning for a ride along the boards. Elegant shops, chamber music, fine dining and real rolling chairs. I was in college when it was demolished. The last time I looked, this former site of 1880's gradeur and elegance was still a "Park & Lock" parking facility. Joy for what was, sadness for what is.
William Price's masterpiece. I take my hat off to you Mr. Price. This building was something else. It's a shame it's gone.

The Marlborough-Blenheim was the other great Atlantic City hotel that they knocked down. It makes me so unnerved that this went on

For some reason, this makes me almost cry. Maybe I used to hang out here in a past life or something.
