I think it takes a LOT for a parent to make a report to police that their child is missing. If these reports are made up then they should be charged as well. But a parent will do the footwork to make sure the child is really missing IMO, then the police are notified, then ACTION needs to be taken from there, even if they refer to the FBI or another Organization if that needs to be formed to determine to do the best thing for the child. We need Other action b/c this is a serious problem.

Thanks for clarifying about the police report being made reporting the child missing. :)

That is not what I'm talking about. When a parent goes to the police about a child missing and this woman knew who took her, that should be an Amber Alert Immediately. Some of these children have not been reported that were murdered and a police report was made but because they did not know who took the child or any clues they held off the Amber Alert. To clarify once a police report is made by the parent an Amber Alert needs to be released immediately.

The same when children are playing at the beach. So many children start walking or end up swimming away from the location of their parents.
Normally the life guards put out an announcement for a missing child at the beach, then the life guards start patrolling the beaches. At some point when the lifeguards are not successful in finding the child they call the police.
Here again, if an Amber Alert was put out for a child missing at the beach, the system would be overloaded.
In my community yesterday a child was not where supposed to be at pickup from school and I got a REVERSE 911 call at my home, giving me details of "missing child" ...I was impressed, we have a system Houston ... it appears to be helpful here/

I have the same system here when a child is not where the childd should be they put out a reverse 91 call. It gives the community immediate action to look before the police have to take the next step.

In this case the Mother was beaten enough to be taken to the hospital, and the police waited 6 hours before releasing an Amber Alert. Now where is he? 3 hours and 76.2% of these children are dead, lets just pray this child is safe and found. And this man's rage he does not take out on the child or she will be gone, if he put the Mother in the hospital, one strike to this child can result in death.

I wonder if the police had issued an "endangered Child" Alert before issuing the Amber Alert.
