being gay IS a choice. It's not genetic. You can be influenced living in a society where homosexuality is acceptable, or if you experienced sexual trauma that can confuse you growing up (which has happened with gay people before). To quote my past psychology professor, "all behavior is a CHOICE." There are men who turn from their homosexual ways, it IS possible. If you were "genetically predestined" to be gay, then being straight could not be achieved. But it happens. It CAN happen. It's choice.

It's like some people here never opened a biology or psychology book in their life. There's been studies that correlates homosexuality to genes and hormones, and homosexual behavior is seen all across animal kingdom, especially in more successful species. Besides, why would anyone choose to like someone of same sex when the world is filled with inequality, and bigots? It's been off DSM for nearly three decades, let's get with the time.
