I miss Shannon very much. And wish that he was still here. But I couldn't have even imagined a better more down to earth dude to fill his spot. And what's even better is that Travis has mad respect for Shannon and is trying just as hard to keep his spirit alive. I can't wait to see them next Sunday.

go to myspace look up 00-metro he was fuckin amazing before rain fur rent and stop talking trash hes really talented and realize he never tried to be shannon just the biggest blind melon fan with a tattoo from his neck to his crack of shannon on his back way before this ever happened

Travis had a band called Rain Fur Rent before Blind Melon? and there is a video of Rain Fur Rent doing "Harmful Belly" on you tube way before Travis joined Blind Melon..yeah Travis brought his songs to that For My Friends album...even Brad had said Travis had 200 songs written when they asked him to be the frontman for Melon...and i believe "Cheetum Street " was his too..Travis' mom..also sang with blind melon on that song..on that album..

point is...Travis brought alot to Blind Melon

It's a shame that experiment didn't work out...some things are just not meant to be. I wonder what really happened. It looks to me, however, that Travis didn't have that much of a role in writing the new Blind Melon stuff. Instrumentally, it sounds like the same band but most of the lyrics are way out of sync. actually, travis' solo stuff sounds more like blind melon than most of the stuff on For My Friends. But at least I got to see my favorite band live. Melonhead Forever!

well alot of us has seen blind melon live..and if ya ever saw them live when travis was with them..then you'd probably understand a little bettercause he does not at all try to take shannons place..and if ya do some research you'll find that out...he had his own band and a lot of songs wriiten before blind melon..and has his own stuff now and continues to be one of the best musicians out there today..and well..who could forget shannon hoon? They both hold their own.they both are their own artist

Travis will never be Shannon Hoon. I just can't let go of it, it just seems like people are forgetting about Shannon. And then there's some who think it's okay to praise Travis as long as they throw in 'R.I.P Shannon' or something like that.
