It might simply be a song in the style of a cakewalk. Cakewalks were old fashioned games that involved the awarding of cakes as prizes. The style of music played at these events came to be known as cakewalks. Cakewalks heavily influenced ragtime music, which is why it has a ragtime feel to it. Cakewalks are still done in some rural areas of the country.
