Duck eggs should lose 14% of their weight during incubation. Multiply initial egg weight by .14 (14%). This is the total optimal weight loss. Divide this number by 28 (days of incubation) to get your daily optimal weight loss. If the eggs lose more weight than optimal--increase humidity...If the eggs lose less weight than optimal--decrease humidity. The BrinSea website (brinsea.com)has excellent instructions.
