In an effort to compete with Apple's ubiquitous iPod, Sony introduced a touchscreen Walkman at this year's Consumer Electronics Show.

The NWZ-X1000 features a 3-inch OLED touchscreen, WiFi, noise-canceling and comes in two sizes: 16GB and 32GB

i think that this looks like a really high quality product but can you download apps like the itouch? also we own a couple of sony products, a blueray player and PSP, and i think that sony might have problems with wifi because we cant get either of them connected to the internet because the connection process is so complicated. so what i'm asking is, is it hard to connect this to wifi or is it as simple as entering a wep key?

@tusas66lt thank you for saying that. this is what i've been trying to tell everyone for a long time. i hate apple because as soon as you own a product from them, they own you. however they do make quality products.

i have the 1060 (32GB) and it sounds better than any ipod.... 1st 2nd and 3rd generation and also it has a OLED display (better than the LCD) but sony Walkman is just that THE BEST QUALITY SOUND and ipod have more useful features or Gadgets like PDA, games, a handle internet browser etc.

So if you are a audiophile i recommend the Sony X series

but if you like the Gadgets ipod is a better option
