To be fair though, I have limited exposure to his playing. And im very open minded. Perhaps  now he is lightyears ahead of the skill level demonstrated here, and Im open to listening to other examples if anyone wants to share a link. But to me, the playing demonstrated in this video is fairly sloppy and his choise of tone, to me, is poor

As to the video, in my opinion, he is at a medicore level. He is far from great, but also far from bad.Im saying this with over 2 decades of playing. In that light, In my opinion a student would be served much better by learning from the top tier players. You cant compare someone at his level to say someone like Andy James, Guthrie, Vai, Gilbert, Buckethead, Bumblefoot, MABatio, Bettencourt, Kotzenect. I understand liking someones band, but that doesnt mean, they are the best choise as teacher

I agree if your going to really rip into someone though, you should post a video of yourself playing, or at the very least have videos on your page, demonstrating your ability. Most of the people critiqueing others playing on Youtube, have very very low level skill, and have no right to judge anyone else. ITs a fact that you cant judge someone else, unless your at a high enough skill level to make a legitimat critique. This is the differance between an educated opinion and a noneducated one

While I agree its not good form to rip on other players, its also true that if you put your self on a pedistal to teach others, your opening yourself to critique. Its also a huge responsiblity teaching others, and its my personal opinion, that if your not at a certain level of accomplishment, you shouldnt be taking on the role of a teacher. Teachers influence. And unless you can influence someone in a positive way, you shouldnt 'play' teacher.

@unKnownAlbino333 yeah men, i actually us to think it was light but that shit must weight at least 11 kilos, i use a fender that weights 9.4 kilos ant the Synister series felt way heavier.... Pd. if you was referring to "that guitar is so heavy metal" ignore everything i just wrote xD
