Lise Lindstrom sings Senta's ballad in New Orleans Opera Association's production of The Flying Dutchman. Ms. Lindstrom continues to wow her audiences! The event was a delight to the ears but suffered from having to view the entire opera through a light-colored, annoying scrim. The softness of this clip was a result of the netting and projections on it.
Who was the Erik in this production? That opening phrase was quite good.

The voice is not well placed and the tremolo is too obtrusive. She should not be singing this yet, esp in public. For an example of proper vocal emission, listen to the Flagstad excerpt listed... Being able to bark or shout out the beginning note of a phrase "doth not a Senta make..."
