there is no such thing as clasical tai chi, all things must evolve in order to survive, many styles of gung fu and tai chi were only passed down through town's men and no one else would find out until they realized it needed to move on because nature evolves as well, as would our art. no one can say a style is better than another, the only way you would really know is to fight, but if martial arts should teach you anything its how not to fight. by the way love the applications in the form

You are the first person I have ever known to say respect fulness is lame.
-
I put it up on youtube but I did not invite you to make a comment. YOU took it upon yourself to be be disrespectful. At the end of the day there is no clip of yourself doing tai chi and no way for people to know the extent of your skill. If anyone is hiding it is you. Are you brave enough to post a clip of your form?

Nice fortune cookie philosophy, but at the end of the day, this is an example of bad taiji. A person could just look the other way, but YOU put it out there for the world to see and comment. Here it is: a very poor example of this form. Don't hide behind the philosophy of "just be nice and don't say anything bad about anyone". That is just lame. No one is saying they know it all. People should know what is good skills or not though. This individual in the clip needs proper instruction.

With the commercialization of martial arts many people have failed to learn the basic life skills that should be derived from martial arts training. It is shameful that some have not learned politeness, courtesy, respect for others, and humbleness. It is wise to always to empty one's cup. To think that one knows it all is a flaw.

As for my own skill level, I know that I always have more to learn. I am on a journey. To see where I am on that journey you can check out my youtube channel, it features me demstrating shaolin, shuai jiao, chin na and forms. The gentleman on the chen video is one of my many teachers.
Because of the ignorance we have encountered, all negative comments will be deleted automatically unless the poster has a video of themselves performing Chen Tai Chi. If the negative comment comes from someone without a video we are assuming they are full of it.
