Ys: The Ark of Napishtim - Ernst (Hard Mode) [1/2]

This is probably one of my worst runs of this battle so far...

Err, anyways... Since there's nearly no videos of the PS2 version of this game, I thought I might as well record my favourite boss battle. Cutscenes are included for the sake of the voice acting... though Jue and Xisa may hurt your ears. You've been warned.

-Emelas Guard
-Emelas Crown
And five Capla Waters.

Part 1 contains the pre-battle cutscenes as well as the battle itself, part 2 contains the post-battle cutscene.

European version, English voice acting (since the EU version lacks the Japanese voice acting...), Hard Mode... May do a Nightmare Mode run someday, too. May.

after hearing this VA Im not that dissapointed of "silent" dialogues in PC version.

@mazanakaUA Yeah, they could've done better with the VAs in this version. A few of them aren't -too- bad, but then there's also really bad ones like Jue here, for example. :|;

i think the pc version of this game got more graphics. but is good the ps2 version

PC version's got sprites, PS2 version's got 3D models. I personally like both~

Though I definitely like the PS2 version more due to the voice acting. Some of it's pretty good. Some characters, though... ugh.

Most of Ernsts attacks are similar to chesters in oath of felghana

theres a really cheesy way to beat this boss. the method also works on 99% of the other bosses.

You need a max level yellow sword.

Run in a circle jumping until your sword charges up. Use its spell and repeat.

You will never get hit

Looking at the PC and PS2 version for this boss, I can now tell the differences in the sprite and 3D model. At the same time they both seem equally fine imo.
