Odin isn't finding the firmware file from samfirmware I dl 2 versions for my galaxy s 4g and none showed up

@Dat5StillPoppin After downloading the file will be in a RAR form. Download the free tool WinRAR and extract each file in that RAR package. Then you can pick each one with ODIN...

Useful, but too much selling of the 'Jig'. Just power off the phone, and when you turn it back on press and hold the volumn down + the Home (middle) button.

@tempest7hk You clearly don't understand the situations in which a JIG is required. There are many in which it is. I push it because it's an amazing tool for $8.00 and priceless in most people's eyes.

@twilightking64 glad you got it working! My vibrant is totally dead after running odin, cant get it to power on or turn on in download mode or anything :-/

@anciano08 Yeah, its was a bad driver which i've installed now, its all working fine and I flashed my rom :)

after using odin to try and get the Galaxy S back to stock rom the phone will not power on at all and Im unable to get the phone into download mode. Will your jig get it into download mode even if the phone will not power on at all?
