Today might be David Hume's birthday but I'm not 100% sure. It all depends on what calendar you follow. Some people say his birthday is actually on May 7Th.
i think if we now count the days according to the gregorian calendar, we should keep this logic when we refer to a date in the past. if we change the calendar (using i.e. the julian calendar), then we change the time reference. as april 26th (JC) equals may 7th(GC), april 26th(GC) (TODAY) equals april 13th(JC)(when hume was still in his mother's womb) . so i don't see why we have this discussion everywhere...
