@franko05dublin I was there! (The Tivoli, Sept 94). My first gig. The week Definitely Maybe came out. Ticket price £5.75! McCarroll's drums broke down half way through and Noel played a solo rendition of D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman while they tried to fix the kit. He said it was the first time he was going to play solo during an Oasis gig, and of course not long after his solo spots would be a highlight of every gig they did from there on.

This was the first of 2 gigs in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. It was Live on 2fm that night 14/8/96. The gig the next night 15th was the leaving cert results day!!! And what a day trip!!

@nman06 Really? I wasn't aware of that!! Good song, but I dont remember thinking it was familiar when Be Here Now was released. It was probably lost on me at the time with all the classics from Definitely Maybe & Whats The Story Morning Glory. 15 YEARS AGO TODAY!!!!!!! I agree a defining gig and the best they produced in their Irish gigs.
-
@garrip They played it live before the album was released, they play it at the infamous Knebworth gigs which were a couple of months before this

This cant be Cork in '96 because this song was on the next album 'Be Here Now' which wasnt released until '97!! Cork was a fantastic occasion. Leaving Cert Results day and scorching hot weather, heady days!

took a coach down from Omagh with my cousins to this concert, for me Prodigy were unbelievable, so much energy in their performances, Oasis were great too.

my first gig too, and to this day still da best

First gig too. Also remember the bonfires. Definitely a defining moment for me.

Great upload. I was at this gig in the Park as they call it down in Cork. It was the defining moment for a whole generation in Ireland, just as the Knebworth and Loch Lomond gigs were in Britain. I'd love to see some more of this or Slane '95 if anybody has it. The Tivoli in Dublin in September '94 is probably the one gig that I would like to hear above any of them though.
