An F-Back is a All-Purpose style Slot/Tailback type which is used in a big mix of option back and pass routes. F-Back is really used to get athletic players in space where they can be one on one with a less athletic player.

Brehaut said he came to UCLA to compete but that he also went to UCLA to be a student, unlike Trojans. And you got it wrong, Thigpen and Presley aren't fullbacks. They're F-Backs. Don't know what it is but it has to do with the Pistol offense and Christian Ramirez was also tried at that f back. I think Pat Larimore will start at MLB and Glenn Love is looking good at OLB.

it's a tricky situation when there are two quarterbacks who are both sophomores competing for the starting job. theoretically they'll be competing thru 2012. it's hard for me to believe that if brehaut loses to prince again after the 2010 season is done that he stays at ucla, unless he wants to be there no matter what. it reminds me of the situation with patrick cowan and ben olson a few years ago.

Milton Knox has transferred out. I think in-coming freshman Running Back Jordan James will get some playing time.
