"The 8-Bit fuzz is a high gain gated fuzz. It has a synth feel to give a broken Nintendo sound. You basically lose all dynamics. The note feels like a keyboard, immediate attack and the note just disappears suddenly. Random octave dives at certain settings as well as a fat, raspy fuzz in the lower octaves. True bypass and volume knob."

  • Do they make this for bass?

  • @HypercamNinja

yep! check out the fx doctor website.

  • Also, where is the knob set and do you change it during the video? I feel you do, just don't know this pedal so i can't really say. God bless - Nicholas

  • @workshopskater

the knob is set at fullblast (where it sounds best) throughout the whole video. the only thing i change is from neck pickup to bridge pickup and the tone knobs on my sg.

  • Hey man thank you so much for putting up with people & keepin this up! I am very tempted to get this pedal i'm just not sure. How effective is it? DO you find yourself using it often? I feel i almost would get it, play it for a month or so just messing around( like i did the Digitech Whammy pedal) then sell it lol Also does the glitchin & 8bit sounds only occur in the upper registries? How does this pedal handle chords and how does it work with delays and other distortions? God bless! - Nicholas

  • @workshopskater

honestly, i messed around with it for awhile but i couldn't make use of it in my band so i sold it. the glitching and 8bit sounds usually occur towards the end of the note you're holding just as you're releasing it. also messing around with the toggle switch or tone knobs on your guitar can create little spits and spudders..it doesn't sound so great with chords, unless you like a noisy mess of fuzz. it works good with delays but i never tried it with other distortions.

    Thank You! :)

  • @rufusclownbauer I disagree. The MWFX doesn't sound very synthy and seems more suitable for bass. Maybe the MWFX sounds good with some other pedals attached, but I'm liking the sound of the FX doctor much more.
