BENGHAZI, Libya (WKRC) -- A New York Times report says Al Qaeda was not behind the deadly September 11, 2012 attack on the US compound in Benghazi, Libya. The newspaper story contradicts what many in Congress and the White House have said about the attack. It also calls into question Republican accusations that Obama administration officials engaged in a cover-up of the incident. US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans died in the attack at the US Diplomatic compound.
