Too many people live their lives in a state of paralysis due to countless fears and doubts. Most of our fears are ungrounded and based on anything but actual physical danger. To overcome our fears and reclaim that passion and vigor for life which they stole, we need a new perspective on what fear is. This speech is a story, but it s not about me; it is a story about the audience. It is a dynamic and exciting journey that places the audience inside the action by juxtaposing two second-person stories together: one about skydiving and the other about a first kiss with a new flame. The stories intertwine and compliment each other. The speech ends in a triumph, showing that fear can not only be managed but also harnessed if we begin to see and feel it as excitement.
