East Lancashire Railway Diesel Theme Day 2010

The East Lancashire Railway held their Diesel Theme Day on the 6th November 2010. Motive Power on the day was 50015, 33109, 40145, D1501, 37518 and visitor at the previous weekend's Autumn Steam Event 60163 Tornado.
Tornado had delighted enthusiasts over the weekends Steam event and with midweek running alongside the home fleet.
60163 also ran on the Modified Timetables on the 6th and 7th November. An outstanding week at the E.L.R with a great variety of Locomotives and very impressive they all were.

Sorry Andy, Cant help you there. I go everywhere by car and I cant remember the last time I travelled by train other than on heritage lines. Your best bet would be to ask at Warrington Station.

The East Lancs Raiway is based at Bury. I would use the M6,M62, M60 M66 to Bury and you will pick up the signs for the ELR. Hope you enjoy it.
