PPPM: Pedal Powered Hacksaw

That's a cool idea, but I wonder if a band saw would be more efficient than hacksaw.

what is the advantage to this? i think using a hack saw normally would save alot of prep time and space!

even just a lead weight attached to the upper arm of the saw would probably dampen the sound and give it more cutting power

Good comment, juicycle! You can see the spring pulling the hacksaw down, but you are correct, the teeth were still bouncing a little. Humans are really good at these things, and machines are not so good. That was a quick movie to show the idea worked (it was actually cutting pretty fast!) and now I have to take it to the next level.

YEA! that is hot ! . i believe it needs a 'dampner' - shock device to hold the teeth at the buisness area...
