Montrose performing "Rock The Nation" @ Rib America in St. Louis, MO on May 28, 2011. Ronnie is backed by Keith St. John, Rodney O'Quinn on bass guitar and Sandy Gennaro on drums.
I worked with Ronnie and Sammy at different times "Back in the Day". He was unique to say the least. He's playing and sound will certainly live on! Sammy Hagar's first post Montrose album, "Nine on a Ten Scale", was released in early 1976. He left Montrose in early 75' or so. That makes it around 37 years since Sammy was in Montrose.
Sounds really good for what looks like a fan video. Ronnie's a legend who's inspired so many guitarists, it's just incredible. Keith St. John is a pretty good singer. I'd like to see this band live, and soon.
To give credit where it is due -, the camera work on this clip is better than on many of these "amateur single hand-held camera" video clips. Somehow, the sound is pretty good, as well.
