Deu saudades do Brasil e passei um bom tempo procurando aqui no youtube um vídeo legal de forró. Já estava triste de só ter achado vídeos de gente se exibindo e tentando mostrar quantos giros por minuto consegue colocar na dama; até que encontrei este aqui e me salvou a noite. Dançando de verdade, curtindo um forrozinho com simplicidade e sem precisar mostrar nem provar nada para ninguém. Deram uma grande lição.

I was introduced to this dance with soulful syncopations by a beautiful Brazilian girl a few months ago. Since then I read a lot about Forro, especially in National Geographic. I understand that Forro is danced in different styles in different parts of Brazil. Which particulat part of Brazil is this (and the other three videos on your site) style from?

Yes, this music of this video belongs to a musical group of the state of Bahia, who stays in the Brazilian northeast. That style is basically "xote" and to also has some variant that is called "Pe-de-serra". (sorry by the very bad English am using a translator...) Did you do the musics download in the link that I sent you by message?
