As space fans know, NASA's space shuttle recently had to land in California thanks to the perpetual thunderstorms we get here in the Sunshine State. But if the shuttle is in California, and the launchpad is in Florida ... well, here's your answer. Just mere hours before the Manatees-Miracle game at Space Coast Stadium, we were paid a visit by one rather unusual bird.
Note the aerodynamic cone that covers the shuttle's rocket exhausts, and the additional vertical stabilizers added to the heavily modified 747's tail.
