Hi Nuno,

I also am a big Wardell fan and have most everything he recorded, although I don't have a complete discography. There is a film about Wardell called "The Forgotten Tenor" which I have in videotape format. I have also thought about creating a Website about Wardell. I already have a Website on Fats Navarro which I created in 1997. It's the second site you get when you do a google search on "Fats Navarro". Perhaps we call pool our efforts on the project.

He's one of those guys like Fats Navarro, Lennie Tristano, and Warne Marsh that only musicians seem to know about. Regular people don't go out of their way to find out about obscure but great artists.

Fine recording, although I like Stan Getz's version even better. Hampton Hawes is great behind Gray!

It is just what you say.
The supporting performance of Hampton Hawes made this session a more splendid thing.
