@FanaticoSodaStereo Actually, the ILY sign is similar, but that's not the reason this sign exists in metal. There are two theories. A popular one is that it is El Cornato, the horned one, a satanistic sign, which is why so many people think it's a sign of the devil. The main reason though, is that Ronnie James Dio got it from his grandmother, it's called Moloich, and it's an old Italian way to counter a curse. Everyone picked it up from him.

@FanaticoSodaStereo /watch?v=BxQpGu-ZgtY Dio started it.

@FanaticoSodaStereo Accually DIO imported it into metal, his grandma (very religious and supersticious) made that sign to protect them from the "evil eye". Look it up.
Thanks to all for these comments. I really didnt know about all the story behind metal sign.

@MetalJosip This \m/ doesnt had anything to do with the devil dude. Its a well-known sign used by the people who talk in sign language (deaf-mute and speechless people) and means "I love you". The church was who started the whole issue about that sign has something to do with the devil and the hell and demons. Bullshit.
