They were massive, hulking, beautiful beasts to behold. It's almost hard to take it all in because of how titanic they were. I really think the new WTC is a whole different beast all together. It's not the same as the old WTC, but it lives up to the name and it will make us proud of its beautiful, blue, glass image.

An asian skyscraper is a giant, poliedric glass tower without any reference to the history in its architecture. But I guess it's totally useless talking with you about that, because you totally ignored what I already wrote in my last reply about the neo-ghotic recalling details of Twin Towers. So, think what you want, the Freedom Tower will be an awesome building but...in the wrong place. And you won't understand it.

@alexrm82 in fairness whats an asian skyscraper? Skyscrapers are built to represent a concept so thats a bit of an unfair statement to make. You hardly think now they were going to build the twin towers again do you? Do you think people wanted a constant reminder sticking in the sky of what happened on 9/11. The towers were built in a different period of american history the late 60's, early 70's when unimaginative large square tower blocks were the order of the day. the new building is awesome

twin towers were built with some special details, like the WTC plaza realling"San Marco" plaza in Venice, through the neo-gothic facades along the first 5 floors of the Towers. They weren't just 2 large square lego blocks.

Then, I repeat it: the Freedom Tower just looks like an Asian skyscraper, doesn't have anything to do with nyc style. And moving on should not mean "build any building, not important how"...
