The most expensive pieces are either the part that gathers the the light, or the chandelier part that distributes it. If nothing else, you could get an engineer of considerable talents to replicate this with similar results. Bouncing light around a room is not a very difficult concept to do.

This is the exact same argument about solar powered cars. You swap to electric power when the sun's blocked by a thick thunder cloud or when it's dark. Along with, it is a library. Libraries aren't notorious for opening at 5am while it's still dark, or closing at 11pm past dusk. I doubt this one will now that it has this system. And as far as cost goes, it's setting up mirrors and tubes, then paying for work and supplies. Continued on next post...

it is practical. The sun isnt going anywhere,EVER......Petroleum and other resources are finite and the environmental,political, and economic cost of them make them the most asinine form of energy we've forced upon ourselves.
