Robin Van Persie was very undeserving of the red card he received for shooting the ball towards goal one second after the referee blew the whistle for an offsides call against him. Yes, ONE SECOND. He was in no way trying to run the clock. I believe he genuinely could not hear the ball over the 90,000+ screaming fans. Poor decision on the referee's part that ultimately cost Arsenal the game losing 1-3 in today's Champion's League against Barcelona.

"It was a total joke, the sending off, because how can I hear his whistle with 95,000 people jumping up? How can I hear that, for God's sake? Please explain me that."

  • @WestTheNinja Pourquoi*

  • Pourqi?

  • as a chelsea fan i will be fair that should not have been a red card because from where he was he probably did not hear the whistle and to be fair I did not hear the whistle and I was watching this on TV with the volume pretty loud

  • Really?

  • Okay i don't like arsenal, But THIS is a joke! sent off for not knowing the whistle went 1 second after he blew he shot, absolutely ridiculous!

  • @kc270352 OMG you're a retard , What I'm basically saying is that at the end of the day the decision was woeful & in hindsight probably cost us the game, it definetly changed our approach for the rest of the game. You can't make excuses there was nothing controversial in that game, oh well actually your goal was offside but bar that nothing big happened & if something controversial happened barcelona would of had the decision their way , e.g - chelsea , arsenal & madrid.

  • @lWallbang yes your right again, Barcelona outclassed and tore Man United apart at Wembley, it was at a neutral stadium, but you don't see me making excuses.........Barcelona on there day will outclass and make any team look stupid...

red cards can change games sometimes, but at the end of the day it matters about the performance on the pitch, stats are there to show the outcome of both teams performances, and you cant hide away from that........

  • @kc270352 I did watch the game, also like I've previously posted did you watch the inter vs barca ? inter went down to 10 men at the nou camp & still managed to win on agg, they were outclassed the way you put it but they still won. It's interesting that you say you support man united when you's were completely "outclassed" at least we managed to beat them at home & man united were at wembly so thats home enough but no you still get thrashed with 11men on the pitch. Enough said.

  • @lWallbang by the way i do live in the UK and i support Manchester United

  • @lWallbang yes your right in some games it does happen when teams have more shots and possession of the ball and still lose, but what im saying is Arsenal were totally outclassed, they never stood a chance against Barca, and if you watched the game you would understand, if they only had 1 shot on target while Barcelona had several chances why exactly do Arsenal deserve to win the game, whether they got a red or not
