That's the reason why our Republican party is drying up faster than the wilderness. If you think that a rational Republican like Colin Powell is a sell out because he spoke about the realities that the Republican party has vehemently refused to recognize, then I question your capacity to comprehend the dynamics of American politics and the implication of positions such as yours. I'm unapologetic for being a Republican. But I want to be member of a party that is inclusive and seeks rationality.

It is truly sad that Rush Limbaugh has become the voice of the party when it should be this man...Colin Powell. Here is a man who is intelligent and calm and reasonable. I was so disappointed that the best the party could get was Sarah Palin. Why?

The GOP should utilise Powell rather than Palin.

I think republcians compain about the stimulous packages, but they take these funds and defraud the government and people by using these funds for their own agenda. I relaly think this. We know that no one party is all good doing but I am finding the republicans to be cruel when it comes to our youth and our elderly. But they talk trash about anyone that they deem a threat to them gaining power control of our country. I am a verteran and they have fooled me for the last time.

If the Republican's weren't so racist and chose Powell or Rice, Obama would have lost the election. They are the last good republicans they have left.

Republicans... LISTEN to people? Sorry dude, not gonna happen. The more they run their mouths and show what they're really about (their top concern: the top 1% wealthy white male naturally-American Evangelical-Christian conservatives -- those are the ONLY people they care about), the better. They're making it that much easier for the SANE ones to pick them out and toss 'em.

And Colin Powell should've been President long ago. I was hoping like hell he would've run after Clinton was up.

@drumerboy1231 dude we've lived in a socialist society ever since they created the police and fire department. to make a blanket statement saying that socialism is bad is also saying that american society is bad. we depend on socialistic principles. without it, you probably wouldn't even now how to use a computer, because you probably couldn't afford school
