Along with Jay-Z and a third, silent partner, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, he launched Roc-A-Fella Records in 1996 with Jay-Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the state of hip-hop music hasn’t been the same since.

Jay Z was running around with Big Daddy and them other heads but he basically made cameo appearances on stage. Dame saw potential a big star in Jay Z who then introduce him to Kareem “Biggs” Burke both strugglin producers at that time and broke. They would hit the clubs with Jay Z CD's and rented cars acting like ballers but were broke. Jay was introduce to real money and connections with Dame.

Amazing in the mist of all this drama Dame gold digger wife no where to be found. She left Dame holding the bags all alone what a stupid marriage and poor choice in a wife. Reports are that Rachel was looking for someone rich who could take care of her what better way for that to happen quick then to hook up with Dame Dash. Dash and Roy were married in Mexico in January 2008. They met when Roy was an employed at Rocawear. They also have two daughters together.

@blackmanelions ...I agree your comment make allot of sense however, Dame does allot for the Diabetes Associations because he has Diabetes and Aaliyah Charity Foundation For Cancer. He also donate his socks and other clothes Roc/Wear to charity. Dame is not perfect he made mistakes just like any man would with money and fame. Yes, what comes with that is a big azz price and I'm sure he made huge money mistakes and realize that for the most part what he build and create is recognize.
